Role: Senior Kotlin Engineer (with Python)Location: 100% remoteRate: up to 160 pln/h net+vat (B2B)Type of contract: B2B, long-termWe are seeking a highly skilled Senior Kotlin Engineer to join a technology-driven insurance organization specializing in specialty and property insurance. This role involves utilizing strong Kotlin experience to enhance client initiatives in building scalable data extraction and AI-driven workflows within cloud-native environments. The ideal candidate shall possess a firm grasp of software engineering principles and cloud infrastructure.Main ResponsibilitiesDevelop reliable, scalable software powering business-critical applications.Design, implement, test, document, and maintain APIs and system integrations.Deliver new features within core Kotlin-based services, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams.Maintain high quality standards through automated testing, pair programming, and thorough code reviews.Partner with Product to understand user needs and translate them into solid technical solutions.Produce and maintain technical documentation, including design and architectural analysis.Key RequirementsStrong commercial experience building production systems in Kotlin and Python.Strong software engineering principles (SOLID, DRY, ER modelling).Comfortable working with GCP cloud infrastructure and infrastructure as code.Familiar with standard logging and monitoring tools used to investigate issues.Experience with continuous integration or ideally, continuous delivery.Strong familiarity with build tools (e.g. Maven) and version control tools (e.g. Git/Github).Experience working in agile teams, participating in regular ceremonies.Experience using project management and workflow tools (e.g. Jira).Hands-on experience with Kubernetes in production-like setups.Nice to Have (not mandatory):Previous experience in financial markets, Fintech or Insurtech preferable.
