Firewall Specialist

Introduction & Summary: This role focuses on maintaining the security and functionality of a large firewall environment through regular updates, addressing vulnerabilities, and executing service requests efficiently to safeguard network integrity. The ideal candidate will possess very good networking knowledge and excellent know-how in Fortinet and Checkpoint technologies.Main Responsibilities:Technical planning of updates.Preparation of necessary activities and creation of change requests.If required, present the activities in various Change Advisory Boards.Execution and post-implementation review of updates.Execution of firewall service orders (e.g., firewall rule activations and deletions).Key Requirements:Very good networking knowledge.Excellent know-how in Fortinet and Checkpoint technologies.Knowledge of GitLab and Ansible.High commitment to the quality of work.Experience in dealing with internal and external customers.Good communication skills.Nice to Have:Experience in a banking-regulated environmentWillingness to work outside normal hours (evenings and weekends)German language skillsOther Details: Start date: 01.05.2026 Service period: Long-term
