Your responsibilities

• Define and evolve the long-term architecture of a scalable, multi-tenant integrations platform.
• Lead complex cross-domain technical initiatives across microservices.
• Establish backend engineering standards, architectural guidelines, and best practices.
• Drive reliability, scalability, performance, and observability across services.
• Improve engineering effectiveness through CI/CD optimization and measurable delivery performance (e.g., DORA metrics).
• Author and review technical design documents (RFCs, ADRs) to ensure high-quality decision-making.
• Act as a technical multiplier by mentoring senior engineers and elevating design discussions.
• Champion the effective use of AI-powered development tools across the organization.

Our requirements

• 10+ years of experience building and scaling complex backend systems.
• Deep expertise in Node.js and strong working knowledge of PHP.
• Proven experience designing integration-heavy systems (webhooks, polling, API versioning, message queues, event-driven architectures).
• Strong understanding of:
• Distributed systems design,
• Relational databases (PostgreSQL or similar),
• Messaging systems (RabbitMQ, SNS/SQS, or similar),
• Cloud platforms (AWS or similar).
• Demonstrated experience leading architectural decisions across teams.
• Strong judgment in technical trade-offs, supported by research, PoCs, and structured documentation.
• Deep commitment to testing, observability, and operational excellence.
• Hands-on mastery of AI-powered development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor) and ability to scale their usage within teams.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder alignment skills.

Optional

• Experience building developer-facing APIs or SDKs.
• Contributions to open-source projects.
• Familiarity with localization platforms or similar SaaS ecosystems.
