Solutions Architect

Andersen is hiring a Solutions Architect for a UAE financial institution. The project involves building a cloud-native back-office system to support brokerage, trading features, and scalable digital services. The customer is a UAE-based public financial institution headquartered in Abu Dhabi. Regulated by the Securities and Commodities Authority, it offers a comprehensive range of financial services, including brokerage, asset management, corporate finance advisory, and market making. Through strategic partnerships in the GCC region and a focus on digital innovation – such as a proprietary trading app and expanded access to global markets – the customer continues to strengthen its market position and deliver value-driven, sustainable financial solutions. The project is a strategic initiative to replace the back-office system supporting retail and institutional brokerage as well as market-making. The new cloud-native solution will offer scalability and flexibility while enabling features like copy trading, algorithmic trading, and a brokerage-as-a-service model. Responsibilities: - Analyzing if software solutions successfully address business issues. - Collaborating with other team members to determine functional and non-functional requirements. - Developing the technical part of the Business Requirements. - Documenting with attention to system integration and feasibility. - Advising the team and Product Owner on the questions of development and deployment. Must-haves: - Proven experience as a Solutions Architect, with strong expertise in GAP analysis, for 4+ years in the fintech domain. - Experience as a solutions architect or an IT business analyst, or a technical solutions consultant in trading, brokerage, market making business setups for 1+ years. - Strong background in Audit, Consulting and Discovery (High-level Design) activities, including gathering requirements and defining solution scope. - Recent and actual experience in designing cloud-native solutions with modern techstacks, with solid grip on architecture patterns, quality attributes and metrics that target availability, security, scalability, resilience, performance, maintainability and modifiability. - Hands-on experience in selecting vendor solutions (COTS) and mapping them to existing system landscapes and Business requirements - Excellent communication and presentation skills. - Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking abilities. - Level of English – Upper-Intermediate or above. Nice-to-haves: - Familiarity with a variety of vendor products used in trading, brokerage, market making. - Hands-on experience with BIAN and/or specialized/custom reference frameworks for trading, brokerage and market making - Experience working in a consulting firm/project. - Public clouds (AWS, Azure, GCP, etc) Solutions Architect level of knowledge and/or certification. - Experience in designing BaaS/SaaS solutions.
