Solution Architect (.NET / Azure)

On behalf of a client within the healthcare technology sector, we are looking for an experienced Solution Architect to support the evolution and long-term architecture of a business-critical clinical platform used for digital patient care reporting and healthcare data management.The assignment focuses on defining and maintaining the overall architecture while ensuring scalability, reliability, security and alignment with the product roadmap.The role sits close to both product management and development teams and requires a consultant who can combine architectural ownership with hands-on technical leadership in a modern Microsoft-based environment.Key responsibilitiesDefine and maintain the target architecture for a large-scale healthcare platformEnsure architectural consistency across backend services, UI components and system integrationsOwn application architecture, UI architecture and integration architecture across the platformDefine and validate non-functional requirements such as performance, scalability, availability, reliability and securityProvide technical leadership and guidance to development teamsReview and validate solution designs and major technical decisionsEstablish and enforce architectural standards, principles and best practicesMentor senior developers and technical leads across the development organisationSupport product teams by contributing to backlog prioritisation from a technical sustainability perspectiveDrive modernisation initiatives including cloud adoption, automation and scalability improvementsContribute to architecture governance structures and documentation standardsDefine and support long-term technical strategy aligned with the product roadmapEnsure compliance with security, data protection and healthcare regulatory requirementsTechnology environmentMicrosoft .NET / C#ASP.NET Core and REST APIsBlazor (Server and/or WebAssembly)Distributed systems and microservices architectureSQL Server and database designMicrosoft Azure (IaaS, PaaS, hybrid cloud)CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or similar toolsSecurity and compliance frameworks relevant to healthcare systemsConsultant profile7+ years of experience in senior software engineering, technical leadership or architecture rolesProven experience designing and governing complex distributed or enterprise systemsStrong background in Microsoft-based enterprise architectures (.NET / Azure)Experience with modern web UI frameworks such as Blazor or similar technologiesExperience guiding development teams and validating architectural decisionsStrong understanding of non-functional architecture aspects including performance, scalability, availability and securityExperience collaborating closely with product management and development teamsAbility to communicate architectural concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholdersFluent Danish and English Experience working in regulated environments is an advantagePractical detailsLocation: Aalborg area, Denmark (hybrid setup)Start: As soon as possibleDuration: Long-term assignment
