Senior UX Strategist (f/m/d) – Freelancer (part-time)

Your tasks

Position Description

As a Senior UX Strategist at Cinemo, you will play a key role in auditing, shaping, and elevating the user experience across Cinemo’s multi-platform ecosystem. You will lead a structured UX assessment across consumer-facing and partner-facing products, define a clear UX vision and roadmap, and drive the execution of validated UX improvements in close collaboration with Product Management and Development.

In this role, you will:

• Ability to conduct an independent UX assessment, including review and prioritization of existing improvement items and gap analysis against best-in-class consumer platforms
• Experience assessing UX maturity across internal stakeholders and identifying structural friction points from both product and organizational perspectives
• Proven capability to plan and run rapid user interviews and usability testing to validate findings and inform prioritization
• Strong track record of producing structured UX audit reports, including quick-win recommendations, UX strategy, relevant KPIs, and a 6–12 month UX evolution roadmap
• Ability to define and deliver a UX vision aligned with overall product vision and business goals
• Experience proposing, documenting, and communicating UX implementation guidelines for development teams, and translating validated roadmaps into prioritized delivery plans with PM and Product Development (scope, milestones, ETA)
• Hands-on execution mindset with experience contributing to delivery, leading small UX teams (e.g., 2 headcounts), collaborating closely with Product Owners and development teams, and providing regular progress reporting

What you will need to succeed:

• Proven track record designing and scaling UX for multi-touchpoint consumer digital ecosystems and two-sided platforms
• Demonstrated experience defining and delivering UX strategy, challenging assumptions, and balancing user value with business impact and market fit
• Strong ability to measure UX success through meaningful KPIs and validation frameworks
• Experience setting up incremental UX improvement approaches that balance UX ambition with engineering constraints and technical feasibility
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to operate effectively at both strategic and operational levels
• Excellent English communication and technical skills

We offer

This is a 4-month freelance role. The successful candidate will be expected to work on-site at our Karlsruhe office two days per week.
