Senior Software Engineer (Sports Media)

Design, build, test, and deploy cloud‑native, high‑scale systems used by enterprise customers and broadcasters worldwide.
Work on a cross‑functional product team alongside Product, Engineering, and Design to deliver impactful features and reliable systems.
Collaborate with internal and external engineering groups to design well‑architected services with clear boundaries and strong alignment.
Champion best practices that improve the speed, scalability, security, and maintainability of our applications.
Participate in code reviews to ensure high code quality and knowledge sharing.
Mentor less‑experienced engineers and foster a supportive, collaborative engineering culture.
Contribute to an environment where AI‑assisted development tools (GitHub Copilot, Cursor AI, etc.) are an integral part of our workflow.
Serve as a trusted technical leader within the team, promoting engineering excellence and a strong DevOps mindset.

6+ years of professional software development experience, including designing and building production systems at scale.
Strong experience with data‑driven architecture and modern systems design (REST APIs, microservices, GraphQL experience a plus).
Proven track record building scalable, reliable, maintainable software in production environments.
Proficiency with SQL, NoSQL, and in‑memory data stores at scale.
Solid understanding of core software engineering principles and patterns.
Experience integrating AI tools into development workflows or using AI to enhance product capabilities.
Experience with SaaS platforms and cloud‑based ecosystems.
Hands‑on experience with CI/CD pipelines, GitLab/GitHub, and automated deployment tooling.
Comfortable working in Agile environments (Scrum, Kanban, etc.).
Experience with AI‑assisted coding tools like Cursor, Copilot, etc.

Strong understanding and implementation of cloud-native architectures (AWS serverless and/or containers preferred) at scale in production (or a strong desire for to learn this and gain these skills)
