Senior Software Engineer, Google Kubernetes Engine

Responsibilities

• Design and implement new networking features in the Kubernetes and Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) area.
• Help external GKE customers who hit issues in production clusters.
  
• Engage with the open source community to help shape the direction of networking in Kubernetes.
• Design and develop AI/ML Enablement high-performance networking solutions specifically optimized for large-scale model training, low-latency GPU communication and autonomous agentic workloads.
  
• Design and develop network virtualization solutions for containers.

Minimum qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  
• 5 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages.
• 3 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products, and 1 year of experience with software design and architecture.
• Experience with Linux networking stack.

Preferred qualifications:

• Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science, or a related technical field.
• 5 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.
• Familiarity with technologies such as DNS, IPv6, eBPF, load balancing, or network security.
