About the project
Your responsibilities
- Registers and/or ensures registration of new software Assets, hardware Assets/Configuration Items (CIs);
- Maintains proper relationships as defined in the agreed Configuration Models; this includes (but is not limited to) people, IT components, and contracts;
- Conducts research related to software assets for renewal;
- Identify savings opportunities for renewals and services;
- Follows through with vendors and associates to obtain savings;
- Works with client and service providers to ensure software entitlements and contractual data is accurately captured and maintained through process
- Identifies and remediates process gaps within the software renewal management process;
- Audits software assets as planned in the Audit Schedule to ensure accuracy - via physical or auto-scans; proactively identifying discrepancies and driving same to closure to maintain accuracy of the SACM process and policies;
- Assists in conducting Quality Assurance over SACM process and policies;
- Assists in SACM Service Level Agreement reporting, both operational and ad-hoc reports as required and agreed;
- Reconciles asset renewal terms and conditions (contractual language) to actual deployed scenarios to determine software renewal timelines;
- Follows and champions SACM process & technology standards;
- Works closely within SACM and various IT towers to communicate accurate renewal data.
- Assist with customer/3rd party queries on the state of the Assets/CIs;
- Works with Regional/Global Change Managers, Release Managers, Data Quality Managers, Data Managers and data Owners, Tools Support teams.
- Assist in the Audits of the CMDB as planned in the Audit Schedule to ensure accuracy - via physical or auto-scans; proactively identifying discrepancies and driving same to closure to maintain accuracy of the CMDB and enforce SACM/Change Management process and policies;
- Manage customer/3rd party queries on the state of the Assets/CIs.
Our requirements
- Expert in Software Asset Management Lifecycle processes;
- Expert in Configuration Management processes;
- Proficient in driving financial improvement through Software Asset Management
- Experience of working in an ITIL-aligned organization;
- Knowledgeable of the Change Management/IMAC processes and policies;
- Expert in the technologies support Software Asset Management and CMDBs, auto-discovery tooling;
- Experienced in Software Asset Management process & operational delivery;
- Experienced with contract terms and conditions (T&C’s);
- Experienced with how vendor and contracts data must be related to each other and software assets within a CMDB;
- Proficient in the operations of software inventory and compliance including industry best practices;
- Proficient in driving financial improvement through Service Asset management
- 3+ years of Software Asset and/or License Management
- Excellent analytical & technical skills,
- Strong planning and organizational skills;
- Good interpersonal skills (teamwork, facilitation, negotiation)
- Aware of solution components and their capabilities
- ITIL certified; (foundation as a minimum, manager or expert level desirable)
- Capable of evaluating multiple options and recommending a suitable solution based the requirements in question
- English and German language is a must have
