About the project

Your responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain production-grade APIs in Python, focusing on FastAPI, ensuring they meet performance, security, and usability standards.
• Build backend services that efficiently process live data from multiple internal and external healthcare sources.
• Implement robust API logic, including request validation, error handling, authentication, logging, and monitoring.
• Develop asynchronous services and integrations to enhance scalability and responsiveness.
• Write, optimize, and maintain complex SQL queries against large datasets supporting reporting, segmentation, and analytics.
• Integrate diverse healthcare data sources such as claims, patient records, referrals, and hospital data, ensuring data consistency and reliability.
• Implement validation checks and data reconciliation processes to maintain high data quality.
• Collaborate within Git-based workflows, contribute to technical documentation, and align with engineering best practices.

Our requirements

• At least 5 years of professional experience with Python in backend or service development.
• Proven expertise in building APIs with FastAPI or similar frameworks.
• Strong understanding of API design principles, service architecture, and asynchronous programming.
• Excellent SQL skills, capable of handling complex queries on medium to large datasets with performance considerations.
• Experience integrating multiple data sources with varying schemas and data quality.
• Familiarity with modern development practices such as Git workflows, code reviews, and technical documentation.
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting and communicate fluently in English.

Optional

• Knowledge of healthcare industry data standards and systems.
• Experience with data reconciliation and validation in healthcare or similar regulated sectors.
• Certifications in Python or data management.
