Senior Platform Engineer (Java&DevOps)

Our Client is a leading e-commerce company in Europe, developing modern financial and technology products built on a scalable, cloud-based infrastructure and microservices architecture.The team is responsible for developing and maintaining a technology platform in the Azure cloud, which serves as the foundation for the company’s key digital products, including payment, insurance, and card services.We are looking for a Senior Platform Engineer (Java/Kotlin) — a professional who combines strong software engineering skills with DevOps and Cloud expertise. In this role, you will be responsible for building and evolving tools and infrastructure used by multiple development teams.ResponsibilitiesDesigning, developing, and maintaining development and platform tools for the Java ecosystem (Java 21 LTS)Supporting and optimizing Kubernetes workloads, including Istio and ArgoCDDesigning and implementing high-availability (HA) solutions in a multi-region architectureAutomating CI/CD processes in the Azure Cloud environmentProviding technical support to product teams to enable efficient use of the platformExploring new technologies, delivering Proofs of Concept (PoCs), and preparing technical analysesEnsuring code quality, testing standards, and a strong culture of knowledge sharing within the teamRequirementsMinimum 5 years of experience as a Platform / Cloud / DevOps / Backend EngineerVery good knowledge of Java or Kotlin (JVM, concurrency, microservices)Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Istio, ArgoCD, Helm, and GitOpsPractical knowledge of Azure (or another public cloud platform)Experience with Docker and CI/CD automationScripting skills in Bash / PowerShellSolid understanding of distributed systems architectureProactive mindset and ownership of technical decisionsEnglish at B2 level (international environment)What We OfferParticipation in a strategic, large-scale technology projectHybrid work model – 1 day per week from the office (Warsaw / Kraków / Poznań)Modern tech stack: Java 21, Kubernetes, Istio, ArgoCD, Azure, DatadogReal impact on the design and evolution of a platform used by hundreds of developersR&D initiatives and work on innovative technology solutionsCollaborative culture focused on code reviews and knowledge sharing12-month contract with a strong potential for extensionTQLO Sp. z o.o. – Employment Agency (KRAZ No. 33580)
