Skeleton Technologies is a Global Cleantech 100 company and a technology leader in high-power energy storage for transportation, grid, automotive, and industrial applications.

For us, developing and producing the best energy storage solutions is a means to an end: helping companies to reduce CO2 emissions and save energy.

We work with some of the largest companies in the world, from automotive and industrial OEMs to truck fleet operators and aerospace prime contractors. Our products decrease CO2 emissions and fuel consumption, improve power quality, and empower wider electrification of the biggest industries globally.

Our supercapacitor and SuperBattery energy storage technologies, based on patented curved graphene, represent the biggest technological advancement in the industry in the last 20 years, and the use of this innovative material provides our products with an unparalleled advantage in power and energy density.

Skeleton Technologies is located in multiple locations: its headquarters in Tallinn (Estonia), manufacturing facilities in Markranstädt (Germany) and Varkaus (Finland), materials development in Bitterfeld-Wolfen, and several additional locations in Finland (Helsinki and Lappeenranta), as well as its first people in Toulouse (France).

Ihre Aufgaben

  • Define electronics functionality and translate system-level requirements into detailed hardware specifications (100+ devices per year).
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, cost targets, and customer expectations throughout the development cycle.
  • Conduct risk, reliability, and redundancy analyses (e.g., FMEA, FTA).
  • Develop electronics concepts, select components, and design schematics, PCB layouts, wiring, and interfaces to meet functional, EMC/EMI, environmental, and manufacturability requirements.
  • Perform electrical simulations and testing to verify system behaviour and support DFM/DFT activities with manufacturing partners.
  • Prepare and maintain documentation, including design logs, reports, manuals, and production files.
  • Support hardware quality through validation testing, specification writing, and close cooperation with test engineers.
  • Define and validate end-of-line (EoL) testing, including equipment, fixtures, and software requirements; analyse yield data and failure modes to drive improvements.
  • Collaborate closely with manufacturing and quality teams to resolve design or process issues and support troubleshooting when needed.
  • Work cross-functionally with internal product, engineering, and production teams, guiding product build as needed.

Ihr Profil

  • At least 5 years of experience in electronics design for small-series or larger production.
  • Hands-on experience transitioning designs into manufacturing, including DFM/DFT, industrialization, and test setup.
  • Practical know-how in EoL testing, yield and failure analysis, and continuous improvement during production ramp-up.
  • Experience working in multidisciplinary teams (hardware, software, mechanics, testing, production).
  • Strong skills in schematic design, PCB layout, component selection, simulation, prototyping, and testing.
  • Proficiency in Altium Designer or a comparable ECAD tool; experience with LTspice, Matlab, or similar simulation software.
  • Ability to prepare documentation and reports; basic data analysis skills in Excel or similar tools.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in electronics, mechatronics, electrical engineering, or embedded systems.
  • Good verbal and written English.
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, analytical, and eager to learn and improve.

Wir bieten

  • We offer flexible working hours, with the possibility of mobile working without core working hours and sufficient freedom for your own ideas.
