Senior Full-Stack Developer

What you will do

We’re looking for a Senior Full-Stack Java Developer to join our Latvia-based engineering team while working from Poland in a hybrid model (Katowice, Warszawa, Gdynia, Szczecin). You’ll collaborate daily with a fully remote team, with the flexibility to work from home and our Poland offices. To help you get started smoothly, we’ll invite you to a company-paid, two-week on-site onboarding in Latvia, where you’ll meet the team and get familiar with our products and processes.

Location: Katowice, Warszawa, Gdynia, Szczecin/ Hybrid work

About the Job:

Our client is one of the most recognizable insurance brands in the UK and globally. The projects we have implemented and maintained for this customer range from traditional annual car insurance to Netflix-like insurance subscription service. Working on the project you will go through the challenges of implementing web solutions by handling hundreds of thousands of customers each day. You will go through the full SDLC - gathering the requirements, system design and implementation, and deployment in the cloud. All of that is accompanied by a friendly team of experienced professionals.

Tasks include: 

• Development of Sapiens projects and products through the entire software development lifecycle (initiation, coding, testing, delivery, support)
• Meeting timeline and quality objectives,
• Lead tasks from gathering requirements to technical analysis and implementation,
• Mentor junior team members,
• Coordinate and interact with all relevant parties (e.g., PM, BA, Manager, QA, and customer) in a dynamic and constantly changing environment.

Requirements

What to Have for this position:

• Proven track record of developing and delivering enterprise software solutions or products,
• Enterprise Java experience (Spring, Camel, Maven),
• Experience with modern frontend frameworks (preferably React with TypeScript),
• Experience with infrastructure tools such as Terraform and Kubernetes,
• Advanced knowledge of SQL and database design (preferably PostgreSQL and MongoDB),
• Experience with cloud technologies (preferably Azure),
• Good understanding of CI/CD processes,
• Experience with task management systems (Jira, Redmine, or similar),
• Experience with Git (including advanced branching and pull requests) and working in an Agile environment,
• Good written and spoken English,
• An open mind to new approaches and technologies,

Good-to-Have Skills:

• Experience with the insurance industry.
