Senior Data Engineer

We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer (NOT Data Scientist). In this role, you will leverage your strong technical and analytical competencies to design, implement, and optimize cloud-based data infrastructure and pipelines for large-scale ML and Mathematical Modelling products within an MLOps environment. Working alongside Data Engineering and Data Science colleagues, you will contribute to a product team, collaborating with diverse professionals to deliver digital solutions that enhance data utilization and improve the lives of individuals with chronic diseases.To excel in this position, strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential for achieving collaborative results with your colleagues. We value a positive team atmosphere and expect active engagement and participation from all team members.Key Responsibilities:Design and implement cloud-based data infrastructure and data pipelines.Collaborate with a product team in the development of ML solutions.Utilize programming languages to build robust data frameworks.Ensure adherence to software development standards and CI/CD practices.Conduct database management and migrations effectively.Write Infrastructure-as-code using tools like Terraform or Azure Resource Manager.Maintain positive team dynamics alongside diverse roles.Key Requirements:A degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, or a related field.6-8 years of experience in data engineering focused on cloud infrastructure.Proficiency in SQL and programming in Python.Strong knowledge of data engineering technologies and tools.Experience with API integrations and ETL/ELT processes.Familiarity with Infrastructure-as-code practices.Knowledge of the pharmaceutical or medical fields is advantageous.Nice to Have:Exposure to working with LLMs and Agentic AI Frameworks.Experience with DBT, Azure, and Spark.Prior work in the pharma industry.Other Details:This role offers flexibility in remote work arrangements.
