Senior Backend Engineer – Distributed Infrastructure

We are looking for an experienced Senior Backend Engineer – Distributed Infrastructure team in Warsaw. In this role, you will design and build scalable, production-grade systems that power critical business operations and high-impact products used at scale.

You will work on complex engineering challenges across distributed systems, backend architecture, and infrastructure tooling — collaborating closely with product, operations, and cross-functional teams to deliver reliable and efficient solutions.

This role is ideal for engineers who enjoy ownership, solving ambiguous problems, and building systems that operate at scale.

Total Compensation

We offer a competitive compensation package aligned with international engineering standards and Warsaw market benchmarks.

Total Annual Compensation (Base + Bonus + Equity, where applicable):

• Senior Engineer : 360,000 – 460,000 PLN gross
• Senior+ / Tech Lead : 430,000 – 630,000 PLN gross
• Staff Engineer : 680,000 – 860,000 PLN gross

Final level and offer depend on experience, technical scope, and interview performance.

How We Work

• Flexible working hours agreed with your manager
• Hybrid model: 3 flexible office days per week
• Pragmatic agile (usually 2-week iterations, no rigid Scrum framework)
• Two collaboration models with US teams (planned in advance)
• Fridays without US meetings
• Split-day model (morning block + evening block, typically no later than 7pm)
• Two dedicated US collaboration days per week (occasionally until 9-10pm)
• No mandatory lunch break
