Senior AI Platform Engineer (Data & GenAI)

Our mission is to undertake projects spanning various industries, including Consumer and Manufacturing, Defence and Security, Energy and Utilities, Financial Services, Government and Public Services, Health and Life Sciences, and Transport.This role offers a unique opportunity to shape enterprise-scale AI and GenAI platforms from the ground up. You will work hands-on with production-grade data and GenAI solutions, influence architecture decisions across global programs, and help define standards for scalable, secure, and responsible AI adoption at Jacobs.Key Responsibilities:Design and build scalable data pipelines ingesting, transforming, and serving data from Microsoft Dynamics 365 to support analytics, ML, and GenAI workloadsDesign and develop LLM-based agent solutions, including tool use, API integrations, and data retrieval pipelinesEvaluate, benchmark, and continuously improve agent behavior, grounding quality, and output reliabilityDesign and implement cloud-native data architectures that enable AI, ML, and GenAI workloadsBuild and optimize scalable data pipelines (batch and real-time) using Databricks (Delta Lake, Spark, MLflow)Integrate and manage large-scale enterprise data, with Microsoft Dynamics 365 as a core source system, alongside other internal and external data sourcesImplement ETL / ELT workflows using cloud-native services (e.g. AWS Glue, Lambda, Data Pipeline or equivalent)Collaborate closely with data scientists, ML engineers, and solution architects to meet model, product, and business requirementsMonitor, troubleshoot, and optimize platforms for reliability, scalability, security, and cost efficiencyContinuously improving data and AI engineering standards, tooling, and best practicesHere's what you'll need:5+ years of experience in data engineering, AI platform engineering, or related rolesStrong programming skills in Python, Scala, or similar languagesHands-on experience with Databricks, Apache Spark, and modern lakehouse architecturesSolid understanding of ML and GenAI lifecycles and how data platforms support model development and deploymentExperience implementing or supporting RAG architectures, agent-based systems, and LLM-powered solutionsPractical knowledge of vector databases, embeddings, indexing, and reranking techniquesExperience deploying and operating data and ML workloads at scale in cloud environmentsStrong understanding of core cloud services (IAM, networking, compute, storage, databases, monitoring, logging)Excellent analytical skills, ownership mindset, and ability to work in complex problem domainsNice to have:Experience with data privacy, governance, and regulatory complianceExperience working with PII and sensitive data, including classification and secure handlingExperience in consulting or multi-client project environmentsFamiliarity with Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM or other enterprise CRM platformsHands-on experience with ML frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorchWe offer:Rewarding employment - full-time employment/b2b contract with a salary that matches your qualificationsHybrid work model - enjoy the flexibility of working mainly from homeFlexible hours - start your day anytime between 7:30 and 10:00 AMComprehensive benefits, including Lux Med medical care, psychological support, life insurance, My Benefit cafeteria system, Multisport card co-financing, and a car/bike park sharing system (only under CoE)Possibility to travel on an occasional basisCo-financed holidays - enjoy 'Wczasy pod Gruszą' for a well-deserved breakGlobal projects - engage in exciting international projects (only under CoE)Inclusive networks - join our diverse employee networks like Women's Network, OneWorld, PRISM, Careers Network, Green Team, SpeakUp, Collectively, and moreContinuous learning - participate in our Graduate Development Program, Learners’ Community, and self-learning platformsLanguage courses - enhance your skills with courses in English, German, and PolishWe know that if we are inclusive, we’re more connected, and we’re more creative.
