Senior Accountant

Our client is an experienced company in the field of financial, accounting, and tax services, supporting businesses in bookkeeping, tax settlements, as well as business advisory and commercial law. The organization serves both Polish and international entities.

Requirements

• Experience gained in an outsourcing company
• Minimum 7 years of experience in full accounting based on Polish reporting standards
• Minimum 1 year of experience managing a small team
• Up-to-date knowledge of accounting and tax law (mainly VAT, CIT, PIT)
• Experience in preparing and reviewing full financial statements (including audited statements)
• Experience in preparing and reviewing tax returns (e.g., CIT, PIT, WHT, VAT)
• Good command of Excel (including pivot tables, conditional lookup, conditional sums)
• Good command of English (B2) – preferred due to international client portfolio
• Experience in implementing ERP-class systems – welcome
• Experience working in an accounting office – mandatory requirement

Responsibilities

• Manage full accounting for companies in accordance with applicable Accounting Act and tax regulations.
• Prepare financial statements and other reports.
• Conduct monthly closings for companies.
• Prepare tax declarations including CIT and VAT.
• Ensure completeness and accuracy of postings – domestic and international purchase invoices (goods import, service import, intra-community acquisitions), domestic and international sales, including issuing sales invoices and posting bank statements.
• Prepare reports for GUS and NBP in compliance with applicable regulations.
• Collaborate with clients on reconciliations, account balances, and settlements.
