QA Engineer

Introduction & Summary:We are seeking a qualified QA Engineer to enhance our mobile applications through rigorous testing and quality assurance practices. The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field and possess 1-5 years of experience in quality assurance for mobile applications. This role demands expertise in both manual and automated testing across iOS and Android platforms.Main Responsibilities:Develop and execute test plans.Identify, record, and track defects throughout the testing process.Collaborate with development teams to ensure quality standards are met.Perform both manual and automated testing on mobile applications.Maintain and enhance testing procedures and tools.Conduct performance evaluations and troubleshoot issues.Report and document software defects accurately.Assist in improving the automation frameworks.Key Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.1-5 years of experience in quality assurance for mobile apps.Proficient in testing and automation tools like Appium, XCTest, Espresso, and Figma.Skilled in bug tracking and test management tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence).Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.Strong communication skills in English.Experience working in Agile environments, particularly with SAFE/Scrum methodologies.Knowledge of contract testing methodologies.Proficiency in Test Automation, including scenario identification and automation improvement.Nice to Have:Certification in Quality Engineering or Software Testing (e.g., ISTQB, CSTE).Experience with CI/CD pipelines for mobile applications.Familiarity with mobile app analytics tools.Understanding of mobile performance metrics and debugging techniques.Experience with backend testing techniques and tools.Other Details:This position is remote and may require collaboration across multiple time zones.
