QA Automation Engineer (JavaScript) with developer experience

Andersen is hiring a QA Automation Engineer (JavaScript) with a development background to support and enhance an eCommerce platform. The customer is a global organization operating in over 130 countries, with a strong focus on innovation, sustainability, and digital transformation. The project is focused on maintaining and evolving an eCommerce platform for reduced-risk products, including feature development and customization to meet specific market requirements and regulations. Responsibilities: Writing UI, API, User Journey, and Smoke automation tests. Performing regression testing (partially rewritten using Playwright). Migrating and rewriting legacy tests to align with the new architecture and tools. Bug reporting: both AQA and Manual QA engineers report bugs. Supporting continuous monitoring. Testing new features (e.g., Store Locator and login flow redesigns). Running tests and attaching reports via Allure. Collaborating with Manual QA engineers by automating test cases created by manual testers. Must-haves: Experience as a QA Automation Engineer for 3+ years. Proficiency in JavaScript. Development background with the ability to read and understand code, and a solid understanding of how systems operate from an infrastructure perspective. Experience with modern automation frameworks (e.g., Playwright, WebdriverIO) and CI/CD-driven test execution. Ability to monitor overall project health, including preparing dashboards in tools such as NewRelic or Grafana. Proven ability to analyze failed automated tests independently, distinguishing between product defects, environment/configuration issues, and test failures. Strong ownership mindset, excellent communication skills. Confidence working in production-critical environments, understanding release pressure and SLA commitments. Level of English – from Intermediate+. Nice-to-haves: Experience with performance testing.
