Role OverviewWe are hiring a Product Manager focused on product discovery and idea generation for our Amazon PPC SaaS platform.The primary responsibility of this role is to identify valuable problems and product ideas by deeply understanding Amazon advertisers, their workflows, and their decision-making across different stages of their lifecycle.This role focuses on discovery inputs. Ownership of prioritization, product bets, and delivery currently sits with product leadership and a delivery-focused Product Manager. Over time, the scope of this role may expand based on performance and business needs.Discovery Scope in This RoleDiscovery in this role includes:●         Talking to users●         Identifying problems worth solving for Amazon PPC advertisers●         Generating and refining product ideas with a clear value rationale●         Validating ideas through customer conversations, usage patterns, and feedback analysis●         Surfacing insights that inform product decisionsDiscovery here is not limited to user interviews. It includes lifecycle analysis, feedback synthesis, user behavior/data analysis, and domain-driven judgment.Key Responsibilities1. Opportunity Discovery & Idea Identification●         Identify product opportunities across Amazon PPC workflows, including setup, optimization, scaling, automation, and reporting.●         Identify product ideas grounded in seller pain points and real operational constraints.●         Assess whether ideas are likely to create meaningful value versus surface-level improvements.●         Maintain a steady pipeline of clearly articulated problems and ideas. 2. Customer & Lifecycle Discovery●         Engage users across different lifecycle stages, including trial users, churned users, expanded accounts, contracted accounts, high-value customers, and agencies.●         Conduct customer conversations to understand motivations, blockers, and decision drivers.●         Identify patterns in why users succeed, stall, expand, or leave.●         Translate lifecycle insights into opportunity areas and idea themes.3. Feedback & Signal Synthesis●         Systematically review and analyze feedback sources, including Canny.io, support tickets, internal notes, Amplitude user behavior data, and customer conversations.●         Surface strong ideas that may not be obvious from votes or volume alone.●         Distinguish between high-signal feedback and noise.●         Combine domain knowledge with evidence to evaluate the quality of the idea.4. Validation & Insight Packaging●         Validate assumptions through targeted research, data review, or structured analysis.●         Produce clear problem statements, product briefs, product requirement docs, and value rationales.●         Document insights, evidence, and open questions in a structured and reusable way.●         Share findings with product leadership and delivery PMs to inform decision making.What We Are Looking ForRequired●         Experience with Amazon PPC, ecommerce PPC, or performance advertising platforms.●         Strong domain understanding of how advertisers operate, optimize, and scale campaigns.●         Demonstrated ability to identify what is valuable versus what is merely interesting.●         Strong analytical and synthesis skills.●         Clear written and verbal communication in English.Strong Plus●         Direct experience managing, creating, or operating Amazon PPC campaigns.●         Experience working with ecommerce sellers, brands, or agencies.●         Familiarity with SaaS products serving advertisers or marketers.●         Comfort working with qualitative feedback and product usage data.Role Boundaries (Current State)●         This role focuses on discovery, insight generation, and idea quality.●         This role informs and influences prioritization decisions but does not own final sequencing, commitments, or delivery tradeoffs.●         Prioritization, roadmap ownership, and delivery execution are owned by other product roles today.●         Scope and ownership may evolve over time as the team and product mature.Working Model●         Works closely with product leadership to surface opportunities and ideas.●         Collaborates with a delivery-focused Product Manager through structured handoffs.●         Partners with design and other functions as needed, without owning design or delivery.How Success Is Measured●       Quality and clarity of identified problem spaces●       Evidence behind proposed opportunities●       Impact of discovery insights on product decisions●       Reduction of low value or misaligned initiatives entering deliveryIf you are strong at identifying valuable product opportunities, have deep familiarity with Amazon PPC or adjacent domains, and enjoy turning ambiguity into clear ideas, we would like to hear from you.
