We are looking for a flexible, innovative, creative and enthusiastic teacher for the bright and enquiring young minds of our primary school students.

We need a highly qualified English-speaking teacher with a teaching degree/teaching certificate (QTS) in Primary Education.

Since we are opening a new school, the successful candidate will need to be able to work with a very small team, as we are starting with one Year 1 class (5-6 year olds, first formal year of schooling). There is a possibility of becoming Deputy Head of Primary school and being part of growing this school for a candidate with the appropriate qualifications, experience, and personal attributes. In the first year, you will be working in a classroom part of our existing secondary school until our brand-new, purpose-built building is finished.

The successful candidate will start working at KIBS Hannover to shadow our existing class teachers and learn about our concept, and then will need to move to Braunschweig for the start of the 2026/2027 school year.

Your tasks

Schemes of work are based on the objectives of the German county curriculum for Lower Saxony. Lessons will be taught in English using mainly English-speaking materials, adapted from UK, US and/or similar English-speaking countries' curricula.

Role Description

Experience of having taught KS1/2 for at least a few years may be an advantage, but is not essential, however. Knowledge of German is not required, but a willingness to learn the basics while living here will be important.

· has secure IT skills, including knowledge of whiteboard and iPad technology;

· is dedicated to contributing to any extracurricular activities;

· has good interpersonal skills and a sense of humour;

· is committed and hard-working.
