Manager, Engineering (Big Data)

The Big Data Group is responsible for processing, storing, and delivering meaningful information both within the Adform Flow product and to external clients. Its work begins once raw internet data is captured and available in the Adform environment. The group’s processing mechanisms transform raw data into augmented, valuable information, which is stored in Vertica and HDFS. Several development teams operate within the group, each focused on building microservices that handle real-time data. These services support various domains such as DMP, Reporting, Algo, and Research.

The Engineering Manager role in Big Data oversees two of these teams. The manager is accountable for people management, delivery of development outcomes, and stakeholder alignment. Ultimately, the role ensures that teams perform at a high level while meeting organisational goals.
