Lead/Senior Java Software Engineer

What's the role?The Foundation Engineering team is responsible for shaping the design and content of UniMap, our next-generation core mapping platform at HERE. UniMap is a cutting-edge solution that enables the creation of highly available, high-performance, and near real-time mapping products. It serves as the foundation for delivering scalable and reliable location data to power a wide range of applications.Find out more here: https://www.here.com/platform/unimap As a Lead Software Engineer, you’ll play a key role in a team dedicated to delivering cutting-edge digital maps to some of the world’s leading automakers - including BMW, Volkswagen, Audi, and Daimler. You’ll work on advanced technology that collects and processes massive volumes of road data sourced from millions of connected vehicles, satellites orbiting the Earth, and aircraft capturing aerial imagery. Your contributions will help transform terabytes of raw sensor data into high-precision digital High Definition (HD) maps, which are then delivered to vehicles for navigation, driver assistance, and even autonomous driving systems.
