Junior Java Developer

The project supports complex regulatory requirements and integrates with external credit authorities, ensuring compliance and high-quality risk assessment processes. Responsibilities you'll have Designing, developing, and maintaining Java-based microservices supporting credit risk, recommendation, and credit scoring products Designing and developing REST and SOAP APIs for internal and external integrations Building robust calculation engines compliant with current credit scoring and recommendation regulations across different markets Developing and maintaining integrations with external credit authorities Participating in the full software development lifecycle: requirements analysis, design, coding, testing, and deployment Collaborating closely with business analysts to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions Working in a Scrum team within an agile environment Expected competences and knowledge Minimum 2 years of commercial experience in Java development Strong proficiency in Java 21+ and related frameworks (Spring, Spring Boot, Hibernate, JSON, XML) Strong experience in REST and SOAP API design and development Good understanding of unit, component, and integration testing (JUnit, Mockito) Familiarity with version control systems (Git), build tools (Maven), and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Bitbucket) Solid understanding of object-oriented programming, design patterns, and SOLID principles Basic knowledge of SQL; familiarity with Kafka and Kubernetes will be an advantage Experience in the banking or financial sector will be considered a plus Fluent English (written and spoken)   Technologies you'll work with Java 21+ Spring / Spring Boot Hibernate JUnit / Mockito Git Maven Jenkins / Bitbucket SQL Nice to have: Kafka Kubernetes   Client – why choose this particular client from the Jit portfolio?
