Junior Automation DevOps Engineer

Our Client is an international financial institution with a modern technology landscape, developing systems that support the Global Markets domain.The project focuses on automating testing, deployment, and maintenance processes, as well as migrating legacy systems to the public cloud (AWS).We are looking for an experienced Automation DevOps Engineer who will help the team implement DevOps best practices, streamline release processes, and build a strong automation culture across the organization.WORK MODEWarsaw (city center) – hybrid model, 2–3 days per week in the officeRESPONSIBILITIESImproving and automating testing, deployment, and maintenance processes in production environmentsDesigning and implementing CI/CD tools (e.g. GitHub Actions) and task automation in Unix/Linux environmentsCollaborating with development and QA teams to improve deployment quality and efficiencyAnalyzing the existing environment, identifying technical debt, and proposing improvementsSupporting the migration of systems from legacy platforms to the public cloud (AWS)REQUIREMENTSMinimum 2 years of experience in process automation or DevOpsHands-on experience with Unix/Linux systems (Windows is a plus but not required)Scripting skills in Bash or PythonExperience with CI/CD tools (e.g. GitHub Actions, Jenkins) and GitBasic knowledge of SQL, Docker, and Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban)Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Confluence, and X-RayNice to haveExperience with job orchestration tools (e.g. Control-M, UC4, BMC Job-as-Code)Knowledge of the AWS environment and motivation to further develop cloud skillsExperience in the financial services or investment banking sectorWHY JOIN?Employment based on a permanent contract plus AKUP and annual bonusWork in a stable, international technology environmentReal impact on how teams and processes operate across the organization (approx. 40 engineers)Opportunity to grow towards DevOps / Cloud Engineering (AWS)Supportive work culture, partnership-based approach, and strong communication with technical managersComfortable office in the center of WarsawThank you for all applications.
