Interim Head of Operations

emagine is looking for a Interim Head of Operations to one of our clients in Stockholm.Role DescriptionThe Head of Operations will hold a central role in managing the operational processes for a high-performance, multi-tenant computing environment. This includes overseeing the supplier interface/delivery with the hosting data center, defining operational routines, and managing staffing to ensure smooth operations. The role also encompasses overall responsibility for the customer service delivery, hardware, service, and maintenance agreements, as well as the implementation of security measures to protect both the physical and virtual infrastructure.The role reports directly to the CEO and the Working Chair.Key Responsibilities·Develop operational routines and manage staffing to ensure seamless management of interfaces to data center supplier and customers.·Define and implement processes for service delivery including reporting, escalations , and helpdesk solutions.·Maintain overall responsibility for hardware management, including service and maintenance arrangements with suppliers.·Ensure robust security measures are integrated into all aspects of operations, including both physical and cyber security domains.·Establish and manage certification, accreditation, and auditing routines, ensuring compliance with industry standards and security protocols.·Document processes, track incidents, and ensure proper follow-up on all operational events within the facility.·Coordinate change management, maintenance windows, capacity planning, power/cooling optimization, and equipment lifecycle management.·Plan & lead audits, penetration tests, and risk assessments; coordinate response plans to vulnerabilities or breaches.·Set up and monitor KPIs to track operational performance and provide regular updates to customers and suppliers.·Collaborate with stakeholders to align operational and security strategies with the organization’s broader objectives.Candidate ProfileThe ideal candidate for this senior-level role should have significant experience managing operations for computing infrastructures. Expertise in certification processes, auditing, and compliance is essential.The candidate should demonstrate strategic vision, strong leadership skills, and the ability to coordinate cross-functional teams effectively. A meticulous approach to detail, a proactive mindset, and the ability to anticipate and mitigate risks are critical traits. Additionally, the candidate should have excellent organizational and communication skills to manage processes, incidents, and updates with stakeholders, suppliers, and consortium members. Experience in hardware management, operational resource allocation, and helpdesk solutions will also be key to success in this role.
