We are seeking a highly motivated Nanofabrication Engineer to join our dynamic QuNano Team.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will lead the development and optimization of nanofabrication processes for our next-generation sensor chips. Your responsibilities will include designing, implementing, testing, and refining nanostructured surfaces and microfluidic devices that elevate our system performance.
Working closely with multidisciplinary R&D teams—from electronics and software to mechanics—you will push the boundaries of nanofabrication and ensure seamless integration of your innovations into our analytical devices. Your contributions will have a direct impact on our technological advancements, product success, and the scientific breakthroughs our systems enable.
- Develop and optimize nanofabrication processes—including lithography, etching, and thin-film deposition—to meet our cutting-edge production needs.
- Design, simulate, and implement nanostructured surfaces and components tailored for seamless integration into optical microscopy systems.
- Characterize and analyze fabricated structures using advanced metrology techniques (e.g., AFM, SEM) to ensure precision and reliability.
- Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams to align nanofabrication innovations with optical and biotechnological requirements.
- Drive breakthroughs in nanoscale engineering, enhancing both system performance and reproducibility.
- Document fabrication processes, methodologies, and experimental findings in a structured and transparent manner.
- Support external collaborations with research institutions and industrial partners, expanding the reach and capabilities of our nanofabrication efforts.

- You bring over two years of experience in (single molecule) fluorescence microscopy and its applications.
- You are well-versed in cleanroom environments and skilled with characterization tools such as SEM, AFM, and ellipsometry.
- You hold a PhD or master’s degree in physics, nanotechnology, materials science, electrical engineering, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Deep expertise in nanofabrication techniques, including electron-beam lithography (EBL), photolithography, dry/wet etching, and thin-film deposition.
- More than three years of hands-on experience in nanofabrication, micro- and nanostructuring, or related fields.
- Proven experience in developing nanophotonic structures or plasmonic devices.
- An established professional network within the nanofabrication and nanotechnology communities.
