ERP Specialist (m/w/d)

Introduction

 ITT Bornemann GmbH is an ITT Corporation company and a leading manufacturer of screw pumps and system solutions for various applications, including the oil and gas, pharmaceutical, and food industries. We employ approximately 250 people at our location in Obernkirchen, near Hanover.

We are currently seeking an ERP Specialist (m/w/d) for our IT department.

 

Your tasks

• ERP & Application Support

  • Independently troubleshoot and resolve issues related to ERP and integrated applications, escalating to other IT teams as infrastructure or networking, or third-party vendors when necessary.
  • Ensure system stability and performance by monitoring incidents and problems in the ticketing system, identifying trends, and implementing preventive measures.
  • Work with other IT teams and vendors to enhance system architecture, support models, and operational standards.
  • Collaborate with business functional leaders to identify, prioritize, and shape technology initiatives that drive efficiency and deliver measurable business value.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to business units, deeply understanding processes, challenges, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Support SOX, GDPR, and security compliance initiatives.
  • Participate in disaster recovery planning and exercises.
  • Assist with infrastructure troubleshooting when required, in collaboration with centralized enterprise teams.

• Project Management

  • Lead and manage local ERP-related projects from scope definition to implementation, including requirements analysis, functional design, risk assessment, test planning, and deployment.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with business priorities.

• Vendor & Service Management

  • Monitor IT service providers against SLAs and KPIs, driving continuous improvement while controlling costs.
  • Manage relationships with external vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure responsiveness and effective resource utilization.

Your Profile

• Experience & Education

  • Minimum 5 years in IT with strong ERP support experience.
  • Degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or related field.

• Technical Expertise

  • In-depth knowledge of an ERP (proALPHA preferred), MRP, BI, and CRM systems.
  • Understanding of IT infrastructure and business process analysis.
  • Familiarity with SQL, reporting tools, and integration technologies (APIs, middleware).
  • Experience in manufacturing or similar industries is highly desirable.

  • Strong leadership, analytical, and conceptual skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and in a matrix organization.

• Additional Skills

  • Experience managing ERP implementations, upgrades, and business transformation projects.
  • Knowledge of ITIL best practices and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Strategic thinking and ability to align technology initiatives with business goals.
