Data Engineer GCP Looker Developer

We are seeking an experienced Looker Developer to design, develop, and maintain scalable analytics solutions on the Looker BI platform. This role requires deep hands-on expertise in LookML modeling, semantic layer governance, dashboard development, and strong proficiency with GCP data warehouses, particularly BigQuery.You will collaborate closely with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to deliver robust, high-performing analytics solutions that drive data-informed decision-making.Project information:Work Setup: 100% Remote workRate: 140 – 150 PLN/net/h + VAT (B2B contract)Start date: depending on candidate availabilityLanguage: English (min B2)Project scope:Design and develop scalable data models using LookMLBuild and maintain dashboards, explores, and reports in LookerImplement and manage semantic layer governance and best practicesConfigure user attributes and role-based access control (RBAC)Optimize queries and performance in BigQueryCollaborate with data engineers on data pipeline and warehouse designManage Looker projects using Git-based version controlSupport automation and API integrations (including Conversational Analytics API)Requirements:4+ years of experience as a Looker Developer or in a BI/analytics development role.Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Data Analytics, or equivalent experience.Strong Hands-on experience with Looker modeling, dashboarding, user attributes, and role-based access controlProficiency with BigQuery SQL, including analytical functions, performance tuning, and working with large datasets.Familiarity with GCP data ecosystem (BigQuery, GCS, Dataform).Experience with Git for version control in Looker projects.Strong understanding of dimensional modeling, semantic layers, and BI best practices.Experience with Looker Conversational Analytics API.
