Reporting to Compliance Manager, you will be based in Krakow and closely collaborating with Compliance Teams across the world. In this role you will play an important part in resolving complex and time-sensitive client disputes, enabling us to mitigate risks and adhere to internal and external deadlines. You will also assist the broader team with other compliance-related tasks (such as performing compliance monitoring of different business areas and/or responding to compliance related inquiries and providing advice to internal stakeholders on compliance related matters) as and when required, thereby enhancing your exposure to the wider compliance function and giving you the opportunity to improve over time.What you'll doConduct thorough investigations into client complaints, write up and send formal responses within internal and external deadlinesCooperate with FOS investigators and respond to their requests for further information and evidenceRespond to compliance-related queries and provide advice to internal stakeholders on the compliance related mattersAssist with the day-to-day administration of the global compliance inboxGet involved in ad-hoc requests and compliance project work including the use of AI tools in compliance processesReport the required MI internally and externally Contribute to transformation of the compliance function by identifying opportunities for improvements, assisting in the development and implementation of necessary changes whether regulatory, business, technology or cost drivenPerform compliance monitoring of various business lines/functions, identify control gaps, issue improvement recommendations and follow up until resolutionMonitor the Group’s compliance with relevant regulatory obligations, including the conduct of our staff and adherence to appropriate processes and policies Build and develop strong working relationships across Compliance teams, business owners, Risk and Internal AuditTake responsibility for information exchange between Central Compliance Teams and local compliance offices, Risk and IA (providing timely and accurate information regarding significant compliance matters that require attention and action)Taking active part in knowledge sharing across the team (including training)What you'll need for this roleKey Qualification Requirements:Genuine interest in the compliance function. Previous experience in Compliance/Audit/Internal Audit/Risk (preferably in FinTech or other financial institution)Good understanding of financial markets and financial productsAwareness of FCA regulations and wider MIFID regulatory landscapeSound knowledge of IG's product suite (CFD, spread betting, investments) and platforms will be an advantageAbility to use our internal systems to gather information and evidence (Genesys, Internet Monitor, iVault, Salesforce) will be an advantageAbility to cooperate with internal stakeholders and obtain critical information from different teams within the business (dealing, corporate actions, payments, KYC, etc.)Fluency in both verbal and written English is essential (knowledge of other European language would be an asset)Inquisitive and analytical approach to problem solving and ability to be make decisionConsidered, diplomatic, can evaluate scenarios with objectivity and impartialityHas excellent communication skills and good working relationship with their team, line manager, across the business and with external partiesSelf-motivated, engaged team player who is diligent, organized, flexible, open to change and has an attention to details, accountable and can work towards strict deadlinesContributes towards department discussions and decisions and has continuous improvement mentalityHow we workWe try to take a thoughtful approach to our ways of working as a company.
