Category Manager

- Leading the creation and execution of global procurement category strategies for enterprise infrastructure
- Collaborating with stakeholders to develop sourcing strategies and tactics for category initiatives
- Managing end‑to‑end sourcing projects, including requirements gathering, commercial and contractual negotiations, and securing internal approvals required to proceed to contract signature
- Building and maintaining a global stakeholder network within a complex and dynamic business environment
- Providing commercial leadership and guidance to stakeholders, including senior executives
- Understanding the dynamics of the supplier market and how they influence interactions with the organisation
- Using subject‑matter expertise to drive business outcomes and deliver value throughout the category planning lifecycle
- Monitoring the supplier market to identify opportunities arising from new product offerings or market changes (e.g., supplier entry/exit, pricing shifts, category risks).
- Identifying alternatives to current category specifications or demand parameters.
- Leading or supporting the creation and maintenance of a project pipeline to achieve or exceed agreed savings targets for the category
- Contributing to the continuous development and improvement of the procurement team
- Monitoring compliance with purchasing channels within the supported business areas and driving corrective actions when necessary
