The role

We are looking for an experienced leader who will take full responsibility for launching and managing a corporate banking branch in the Netherlands. This is a strategic position combining business development, team leadership, and regulatory oversight.

You will play a key role in building the local franchise from the ground up and driving sustainable growth in the market.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead, develop and manage the local corporate banking team, including performance management and hiring decisions
  • Drive execution of the branch’s commercial strategy and deliver on ambitious sales targets
  • Develop new business opportunities and expand relationships with corporate clients
  • Oversee credit processes and actively contribute to lending decisions within delegated authority
  • Monitor and optimize the performance of the loan portfolio to ensure quality and growth
  • Analyze business results and implement initiatives to improve efficiency and profitability
  • Ensure high standards of client service and relationship management
  • Oversee operational costs and branch efficiency
  • Ensure full compliance with local regulations, internal policies, and audit requirements
  • Act as the main representative of the branch towards external stakeholders (e.g. regulators, institutions, partners)
  • Support implementation of risk management frameworks, including AML and compliance processes
  • Contribute to building the brand and market presence in the Netherlands
