Backend Developer (Java & Python)

For our client – a large organization from the insurance and financial services sector – we are looking for an experienced Backend Developer to support the development of advanced data processing platforms and backend systems.The role involves designing, implementing and maintaining solutions built around Big Data technologies and microservices architecture, while ensuring high quality, scalability and compliance with engineering standards.Key responsibilitiesDesign and document detailed IT system solutions based on architecture guidelinesParticipate in preparing and refining system requirementsEstimate development effort for system changes and new functionalitiesImplement backend solutions and support development activitiesSupervise implementation work delivered by external vendors and review source code and technical documentationEnsure that delivered solutions meet functional, non-functional and operational requirementsMaintain and update technical documentation repositoriesSupport development teams during solution deployments and stabilization phasesIdentify project risks and propose mitigation actionsContribute to development standards for system design, documentation and implementationParticipate in introducing and evaluating new technologiesEnsure software quality and compliance with best engineering practicesProvide support within 3rd line ServiceDeskIdeal candidate profileStrong experience in designing and developing IT systemsVery good knowledge of Java and PythonSolid understanding of object-oriented programming and clean code principlesHands-on experience with Big Data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, NiFi, Elasticsearch, Hive or FlinkExperience in building microservices and/or REST APIsExperience with Docker and Kubernetes environmentsPractical knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or BambooGood knowledge of SQL and experience working with relational databases (preferably PostgreSQL)Experience with Spring Framework / Spring BootNice to have:Experience working with NoSQL databases (MongoDB, HBase)Experience using IntelliJ IDEA / PyCharm and GitExperience working in Agile / Scrum environmentsConditionsWork model:Hybrid (1 day per week from Warsaw office)Contract type: B2BRate: 140-150 pln/hBenefits: Private medical care, life insurance, training budget, MultisportRecruitment stepsPhone call with RecruiterTechnical interview with ClientFeedback and decisionW KUBO naprawdę zależy nam na ludziach.
