Sustainability Specialist

About the role

We are looking for a curious, hands-on and self-driven Sustainability Specialist who will take operational ownership of sustainability, certification and regulatory topics across Fogia.

You will manage these topics end-to-end — from understanding customer and regulatory requirements, through collecting information from internal teams and suppliers, to implementation and external communication.

This is a hands-on role for someone who can communicate, educate and make things happen.

Key responsibilities

Understand sustainability requirements from customers, regulations and the market
Translate requirements into clear product specifications and practical actions
Communicate and explain sustainability requirements internally
Work with Product Development, Purchasing, Production, Sales and suppliers to collect data and implement requirements
Own Mobelfakta product certification processes
Develop and maintain EPD documentation
Support ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 systems and audits
Monitor and implement new regulatory requirements, including PPWR, EUDR and Digital Product Passport
Drive topics forward and make sure actions are completed

Requirements

Higher education in engineering, sustainability, environmental sciences, materials or a related field
Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in sustainability, product compliance, certification, environmental management or a related area.
Experience from manufacturing or physical products is strongly preferred
Ability to understand technical and regulatory requirements and translate them into practical actions
Strong communication and coordination skills
Independent, pragmatic and hands-on approach
Fluent professional English

Strong advantages

Experience with Mobelfakta or similar certification systems
Experience with EPD / LCA
Experience with ISO 9001 or ISO 14001
Experience from furniture or another manufacturing industry
