As a Solutions Architect (Presales), you are the technical face of Chaos Gears in the sales process. You partner with our sales team from the first client conversation, uncover real business needs, design the right solution approach, and convince stakeholders, from engineers to C-level, that we are the partner to deliver it. Your role is less about writing code and more about designing on the whiteboard, telling the story behind the architecture, and defining a scope that our delivery teams can execute with confidence.

Your Responsibilities:

Presales & Client Advisory:

Technical Discovery: Lead discovery calls and deep-dive workshops with client stakeholders to uncover requirements, constraints, pain points, and long-term goals, and translate them into a solution vision.

Solution & Offer Design: Shape the technical side of our offers: define project scope (SoW), estimate effort together with delivery teams, and select the right engagement model.

Solution Presentation & Storytelling: Prepare and deliver compelling decks, demos, and solution presentations. Clearly articulate architectural choices, trade-offs, and business value to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Strategic Roadmap Development: Partner with client C-levels and IT directors to design multi-year cloud and AI transformation journeys, positioning Chaos Gears as a long-term advisor.

RFP/RFI & AWS Programs: Respond to RFPs and RFIs, and leverage AWS partner programs and funding mechanisms to strengthen our offers.

Objection Handling & Competitive Positioning: Address client concerns around cost, security, and vendor choice; articulate the value of working with an AWS Premier Tier Partner.

AWS Architecture & Design:

Architectural Blueprints: Design end-to-end, cloud-native solution concepts and high-level designs (HLD) using the full breadth of AWS services, forming the foundation on which our offers and projects are built.

AWS Well-Architected Framework: Ensure proposed solutions are optimized for security, reliability, operational excellence, performance, and cost. Conduct Well-Architected Reviews as an entry point to new engagements.

Modernization & Innovation: Advocate modern patterns such as Kubernetes (EKS), Serverless, event-driven architectures, and GenAI/agentic solutions on AWS, and translate them into concrete client opportunities.

PoC & MVP Leadership: Define and oversee PoCs and MVPs that validate technical assumptions, de-risk projects, and pave the way from pilot to production.

Collaboration with Delivery:

Presales-to-Delivery Handover: Ensure a smooth transition of won projects, with documented scope, assumptions, risks, and architecture, so delivery teams know exactly what to build.

Architectural Guidance: Stay available as a technical advisor during early project phases, safeguarding consistency between what was sold and what is being delivered.

Feedback Loop: Bring lessons learned from delivery back into the presales process to continuously improve estimates, scoping, and solution patterns.

Requirements:

Solid, practical experience with the AWS ecosystem (5+ years), including infrastructure, data, and AI services

• Proven experience in a presales, solution architecture, or technical consulting role: leading discovery workshops, scoping projects, estimating effort, and presenting solutions to clients
• Experience designing distributed systems and architecting cloud migrations or greenfield cloud environments
• Good understanding of DevOps practices (CI/CD, IaC with Terraform, containerization, Kubernetes) and a Security by Design mindset, enough to design credibly and challenge delivery teams
• Outstanding communication skills: the ability to explain complex technical concepts and architectural trade-offs to engineers, business stakeholders, and C-level executives alike
• Experience working in a consulting or partner environment, managing multiple stakeholders and diverse technical landscapesAWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional or relevant AWS Specialty certifications are highly desirable
• Ability to use AI tools effectively on a daily basis (Claude Cowork)

Fluency in both English (C1) and Polish (C1), written and spoken
