Senior Test Automation Engineer – UI and API Frameworks

Warsaw-based opportunity, hybrid work model (3 days per week in the office).

As a Senior Test Automation Engineer, you will work for our client, a leader in financial technology services, on a new client-facing portal for end investors (onboarding, AML/KYC, transactions, dashboards and reporting). You will build fully automated end-to-end test coverage for the portal UI and backend services, enabling scalable growth and continuous delivery. This is a long-term program, and you will join a new Scrum team at the very beginning of the build.

Your main responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks at UI and API levels, with the goal of end-to-end test automation across the portal.

Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines, ensuring continuous regression coverage and quality assurance.

Collaborate closely with developers, product and operations partners to identify test coverage gaps and edge cases early, in a test-driven (TDD) way of working.

Analyze test failures and defects, working with developers to resolve issues quickly.

Manage test data and environment stability to maximize automated testing efficiency.

Report on test coverage, quality metrics, and release readiness to stakeholders.

You’re ideal for this role if you have:5+ years of experience in test automation within an enterprise environment.

Hands-on experience with UI automation frameworks, ideally Playwright (Cypress or Selenium also considered).

Solid experience with API testing tools such as Postman, RestAssured, or Karate.

Working knowledge of Java or .

NET / JavaScript for writing and maintaining automation code (Java is a plus).

Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and containerized test environments.

Experience testing client-facing web applications or portals, ideally with end-user flows such as onboarding, authentication and transactions.

It is a strong plus if you have:

Performance/load testing experience with tools like JMeter or Gatling.

Domain exposure to financial services or transfer agency.

Experience with TDD/BDD and openness to working with AI-assisted development tools.
