About the project

Your responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and launch new features for the Android Overview experience, such as enhanced drag and drop, pagination, and multi-display support.
  • Analyze and improve the performance, responsiveness, and memory footprint of Overview features within Launcher.
  • Contribute to the ongoing architectural modernization of Launcher, including adopting model-view-viewmodel (MVVM) and integrating Jetpack Compose for UI development.
  • Investigate, debug, and resolve complex issues related to functionality, performance, and accessibility within Overview.
  • Collaborate with UX/UI designers, product managers, and engineers across Launcher and Android Platform to define and build innovative multitasking solutions.

Our requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages.
  • 3 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products, and 1 year of experience with large scale application design and architecture.
  • 3 years of experience with Android application development.
  • Experience in Kotlin programming language.

Optional

  • Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field.
  • 5 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.
  • 1 year of experience in a technical leadership role.
  • Experience developing accessible technologies.
