About the roleWe are seeking candidates for our client, which operates in Europe. As the senior PHP Drupal engineer in the high-impact production site driving critical SEO traffic, you will take full accountability for architecture, performance, security, and deployments. You will operate with high autonomy as part of the technical SEO team, bridging custom Drupal backend engineering.

Technologies we work with: Drupal 10, PHP 8.x, Symfony, Twig, TypeScript, JavaScript, Headless CMS, AWS, Docker, CircleCI, Datadog

Responsibilities:

Developing custom Drupal 10 modules using PHP 8.x, Symfony components, and Twig templating

Driving technical SEO implementation, including URL structure, redirects, Core Web Vitals/page speed optimization, and structured data
Performing deployments of the applications
Monitoring system health and site performance using Datadog, ensuring high availability and stability
Executing regular security patches, Drupal updates, and core upgrades
Supporting the editorial team with CMS workflows and contributing to headless CMS architecture
Debugging issues
Scoping and assessing the complexity of features
Participation in on-call rotation
Required qualifications:6+ years of production software development experience Hands-on experience in Drupal 10 custom module development
Strong mastery of PHP 8.x, Symfony framework, and TwigSolid understanding of technical SEO principles (URL structure, redirects, page speed performance, structured data)

Autonomous, proactive mindset with high comfort navigating ambiguity and taking end-to-end ownership

Foundational familiarity with TypeScript, Java
Script
Computer Science degree
Experience working with Agile methodologies such as SCRUM and/or Kanban
Proficiency in English
Nice to have:

Experience or interest in headless CMS architecture

Familiarity with Platform.sh or advanced Drupal site theming

Knowledge of cloud computing AWS / GCP / Azure Exposure to one of the object-oriented and/or functional languages such as Java, Python, Elixir, C++, C#, Golang, Erlang, Kotlin
