About the Role We are seeking an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to join a dedicated team building a high-security payment platform for a client in the financial sector. In this role, you will design, maintain, and tune secure infrastructure adhering to strict PCI DSS standards. Key focus areas include Hardware Security Module (HSM) integration, zero-PAN logging compliance, network segmentation, data retention, and active-active high availability.

Key Responsibilities

Automate and manage hybrid infrastructure across on-premise Linux environments and cloud platforms.

Ensure strict adherence to PCI DSS requirements (segmentation, PAN masking/removal from logs, retention rules, access control).

Configure and administer Hardware Security Modules (HSM) for payment processing.

Develop robust CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code (IaC) workflows.

Design and maintain High Availability (Active-Active) architectures for stateless applications.

Set up observability pipelines and optimize infrastructure for performance and load testing.

Must-Have Requirements

Security & Domain (Must-Have): Strong experience with PCI DSS compliance, payment systems, and HSM (preferably Thales payShield).

Containerization & Orchestration: Advanced proficiency in Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm.

System Administration: Proven experience in Linux on-premise system administration.

Automation & IaC: Hands-on experience with Ansible, Terraform, and CI/CD automation.

Cloud Infrastructure: Practical knowledge of at least one public cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

Security & Architecture: Expertise in TLS, secrets management, access control, load balancing, and Active-Active/HA setups.

Observability: Experience with Open

Telemetry and monitoring/logging platforms (Grafana, Loki, Tempo, or ELK).

Performance: Track record in preparing and tuning environments for performance testing.

Nice-to-Have

Knowledge of the ISO 8583 messaging standard.
