For our Client – an international organization operating in the defence and advanced technology sector – we are seeking an experienced leader to take on the role of: Director of Business Development & Sales.

This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in the growth of a company delivering innovative solutions for the defence industry. The position combines strategic leadership, commercial responsibility, and direct influence on the development of long-term partnerships and high-value projects.

Job Tasks:

Develop and execute business development and sales strategies in line with corporate objectives

• Identify new business opportunities, target customers, strategic partners, and market segments
• Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to support executive decision-making
• Build and maintain long-term relationships with key customers and business partners
• Lead commercial activities, including bid management, negotiations, and contract finalization
• Define sales objectives and monitor business performance against targets
• Support the development of new products and services based on customer and market needs
• Prepare business, financial, and strategic reports for senior management and headquarters
• Evaluate business initiatives, investment opportunities, and ROI
• Lead and develop the sales team while managing key customer relationships
• Requirements:

Minimum 8 years of experience in strategy, business development, or sales within a leading defence organization with a comparable portfolio of products and services.

Strong understanding of the defence industry, its regulations, procurement environment, and key market players

• Proven track record of business development and sales success in the Polish market
• Experience working within an international organization and reporting to headquarters
• Previous people management experience
• Ability to translate strategic objectives into operational actions and measurable results
• Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, negotiation, and communication skills
• Results-driven, self-motivated, and capable of making independent decisions
• Security clearance at Confidential level (or higher), or willingness to undergo the clearance process
