DevOps Partner / Senior Platform Engineer

About the RoleWe are looking for an experienced DevOps Partner to help simplify and standardise a complex CI/CD environment across multiple engineering teams.

The primary focus of this role will be consolidating and modernising a fragmented Jenkins landscape, reducing operational overhead, and introducing reusable, scalable CI/CD solutions that can support a wide range of products and technology stacks.

You will work closely with software engineering and platform teams to define standards, improve developer experience, and build shared tooling that enables teams to deliver software faster and more efficiently.

Responsibilities

Assess and rationalise existing Jenkins environments and CI/CD processes.

Consolidate multiple Jenkins instances into a smaller, maintainable, and standardised platform.

Design and implement reusable CI/CD components, including:

Shared pipeline libraries and templates

  • Standard integrations with central platform services
  • Standardised artefact publishing and storage mechanisms
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to improve development workflows and CI/CD adoption.

Support integration with monitoring, visualisation, and alerting solutions.

Improve artefact management processes using central repositories and object storage solutions.

Automate platform provisioning and improve access to shared testing environments.

Promote DevOps best practices and platform engineering principles across multiple teams.

Requirements

Strong hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or similar.

Experience managing and standardising shared engineering platforms.

Strong knowledge of Linux, Docker, and Kubernetes.

Experience with Infrastructure as Code and configuration management tools (Terraform, Ansible, or similar).

Good scripting and automation skills using Python, Bash, or similar languages.

Experience designing scalable and reusable DevOps solutions for multiple development teams.

Strong communication skills and ability to work across engineering organisations.

Nice to Have

Experience with artefact repositories such as Nexus or Artifactory.

Experience with cloud platforms and object storage solutions (Azure, AWS, GCP).

Experience building internal developer platforms and self-service tooling.

Experience integrating observability and monitoring solutions into CI/CD workflows.
