Data Architect (Metadata, Governance, Semantics)

Join a strategic data initiative for a leading global investment management company that leverages AI, Machine Learning, and advanced analytics to drive business decisions. You will be responsible for designing the data foundations that enable safe, scalable, and effective AI adoption across a highly regulated enterprise environment.

What You Will DoDesign and own enterprise metadata and data discovery architectures.

Define metadata management and data governance strategies.

Build federated metadata architectures across multiple business domains.

Design semantic layers, business glossaries, and knowledge graphs.

Establish metadata quality standards and governance processes.

Lead architecture workshops with business and technical stakeholders.

Act as a design authority and provide architectural guidance to engineering teams.

Create architecture documentation and support strategic data and AI initiatives. Requirements8+ years of experience in Data Architecture or Data Platform roles.3+ years of experience in Metadata Management, Data Governance, or Data Cataloging.

Hands-on experience with enterprise data catalog solutions such as:

Data

• Hub
• Open
• Metadata
• Collibraor similar platforms.

Strong understanding of:

Metadata Management

• Data Lineage
• Data Discovery
• Data Quality
• Entity Resolution
• Experience designing federated (hub-and-spoke) metadata architectures.

Knowledge of semantic modeling, business glossaries, and knowledge graphs.

Strong stakeholder management and consulting skills.

Ability to create and present architecture documentation to senior stakeholders. Nice to Have

Experience in Financial Services, Asset Management, or Market Data domains.

Knowledge of FIBO or other financial ontologies.

Experience with Open

Lineage or Open Data Contract Standard.

Familiarity with semantic search and embeddings-based discovery.

Experience building AI-ready data foundations.
