Accessibility Statement

Apptivity sp. z o.o., the operator of the hexjobs.com job portal, is committed to making this website usable by everyone, including people with disabilities. This statement describes how hexjobs.com meets the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA, and how to tell us when it does not.

§ 1. Scope

This statement applies to the public job portal at hexjobs.com and all of its language versions.

It does not cover the Hexjobs web application at app.hexjobs.com, the employer platform at business.hexjobs.com, or the Hexjobs mobile applications. Those services publish their own statements.

§ 2. Conformance status

The portal is partially conformant with WCAG 2.2 level AA. Partially conformant means that most of the standard is met, and the parts that are not are listed in § 4.

§ 3. Accessibility features

  • Accessibility options in the header. A dedicated control lets you enlarge text to 125%, 150% or 200%, switch on a high-contrast theme, reduce animation, and underline every link. Your choices are remembered in your browser.
  • Text scaling respects your browser. The text size steps are relative, so if you have already increased the default font size in your browser, that setting is preserved and multiplied rather than replaced.
  • System preferences are honoured without any configuration. If your operating system requests increased contrast, reduced motion, or a forced-colours theme, the portal follows it even if you never open the accessibility options.
  • Keyboard operation. Every interactive element is reachable and operable with a keyboard alone. A "Skip to content" link is the first stop on every page, focus indicators are always visible, and dialogs return focus where you left it.
  • Screen reader support. Pages use semantic landmarks and headings, images carry text alternatives, form fields have programmatically associated labels, and dynamic changes such as search result counts are announced.
  • Zoom and reflow. Content remains usable at 200% zoom and reflows to a 320 pixel viewport without horizontal scrolling.

§ 4. Known limitations

Despite our best efforts, the following are not yet fully accessible:

  • Job offer maps. The interactive map is a visual surface. Panning it relies on pointer input, and map markers are not individually reachable by keyboard. The same offers are always available as a text list in the standard job listing, which is fully accessible.
  • Content supplied by external advertisers. Job descriptions aggregated from external portals are published as their authors wrote them. We cannot guarantee their heading structure, colour contrast or image alternatives.
  • Documents uploaded by users. CV files uploaded through the application form are the property of their authors, and we do not modify them for accessibility.
  • Salary charts. The salary distribution chart conveys some information through colour. The underlying figures are also available as text.

§ 6. Enforcement procedure

If our response is unsatisfactory, you may escalate to the supervisory body for the market concerned:

  • Poland: the State Fund for Rehabilitation of Disabled Persons (PFRON), under the Act of 4 April 2019 on the digital accessibility of websites and mobile applications of public sector bodies, and the Act of 26 April 2024 on ensuring the accessibility requirements for certain products and services.
  • Germany: the arbitration body (Schlichtungsstelle) under the Barrierefreiheitsstärkungsgesetz (BFSG).
  • Austria: the Sozialministeriumservice, under the Barrierefreiheitsgesetz (BaFG).

§ 7. How this statement was prepared

This statement was prepared following a self-assessment carried out by Apptivity sp. z o.o. The assessment combined a manual review against the WCAG 2.2 level AA success criteria, keyboard-only testing, screen reader testing with NVDA and VoiceOver, and contrast measurement of the portal's colour tokens.
