Team Lead, Insurance Broker Accounting

Zakres obowiązków Lead the day-to-day work of the Insurance Broker Accounting team, setting priorities and ensuring deadlines and service levels are met Oversee the accurate allocation and reconciliation of client, insurer and policy-related cash Ensure provider accounts, refunds, claims and other client money balances are reconciled and settled on time Monitor unallocated, unidentified and third-party-held funds and support timely resolution Review and quality-assure team output, maintaining strong accounting and control standards Monitor key performance indicators and operational controls, identifying risks and improvement opportunities Support compliance with FCA CASS 5 requirements and coordinate the identification and resolution of potential control breaches Act as the main operational contact for UK stakeholders, managing queries, priorities and escalations Coach and develop team members through regular feedback, training and clear operating procedures Identify opportunities to simplify, standardise and automate accounting processes Support finance transformation initiatives, including migrations, acquisitions and system changes Support internal, external and CASS-related audits, coordinating documentation and follow-up Help establish and continuously improve processes, controls and ways of working within the newly created Gdańsk team Wymagania 3-5 years of experience in accounting operations, finance operations or another process-driven financial environment Previous experience supervising, reviewing or coordinating the work of other team members Good understanding of end-to-end accounting processes, reconciliations and financial controls Confidence managing daily priorities, deadlines and quality standards across a small team Very good English and ability to work directly with international stakeholders Experience in insurance broking, premiums, commissions, fees or client money accounting will be a strong advantage Knowledge of FCA CASS 5 or another regulated client money framework will be highly valued Experience with Acturis or another policy administration system will be an advantage Experience in process transition, migration or SSC environment will be beneficial Proactive approach to process improvement, automation and problem solving Degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field is welcome ACCA, CIMA or another accounting qualification in progress will be an additional asset Oferujemy Private healthcare package with Luxmed Life insurance with Unum MyBenefit cafeteria platform Hybrid work model - 3 times per week from the office in Gdańsk (after completing 3m probation period working 4 times per week from the office) Relocation support for selected roles - we'll help make your move to Gdańsk easy with financial relocation assistance tailored to you or your family Competitive compensation that reflects your impact Real career growth and learning opportunities within a global organization
