Software Engineer (Python / AWS)

We are looking for an engineer who will be a part of Silvair’s Engineering Team developing '

Silvair Platform' - that is cloud infrastructure, services, appliances and web applications designed to make mesh network management easy, fast and reliable.

You will work with up-to-date technologies/concepts such as microservices, JavaScript, Python, Open API, MongoDB, RabbitMQ, AWS, Git, Terraform, Jenkins.

You will have a chance to work with Silvair’s top specialists to develop and maintain robust smart lighting solutions that are rapidly gaining momentum in the IoT and smart building industry.

Your responsibilities

• Designing and implementing new features and functionalities, covering everything from business logic to API and persistence layers
• Contributing to architectural decisions — particularly around service decomposition, cloud infrastructure, and long-term technical debt reduction
• Performing code reviews to maintain code quality and share technical knowledge across the team
• Writing and maintaining automated tests across the testing pyramid to ensure reliability and prevent regressions
• Collaborating with product and cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into solid technical solutions
• Essential job requirements:

Solid experience (3+ years) with Python and Pytest

• Practical experience with asynchronous programming in Python
• Strong knowledge of REST APIs and familiarity with event-driven architectures
• Experience with MongoDB, PostgreSQL, and Redis in production environments
• Operational experience with Docker and Jenkins CI/CD pipelines
• Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools such as Datadog
• Ability to write clean, well-documented, and maintainable code with a focus on architecture and minimizing technical debtSelf-reliance in everyday work, strong communication skills, and effective collaboration in cross-functional teamsWe offer
