Senior Structural Engineer

VARD Marine Gdańsk is looking for talented and enthusiastic marine engineers, who are interested to join our growing organization in Poland. We are re currently seeking for suitable candidates for Senior Structural Engineer positions.. Performing structural calculations ranging from scantling checks and simple beam validations to comprehensive local and global FEM analyses., Preparing structural drawings for approval by Classification Societies and Authorities, including managing and resolving comments., Coordinating structural work across engineering departments to ensure optimal, functional, and sustainable vessel design., Maintaining effective communication with external stakeholders including Client, Classification Societies, regulatory authorities, other design offices and vendors., In addition to performing discrete technical tasks within larger projects, you may perform the role of Project Manager.. BSc or MSc degree in a related engineering field (Ocean Engineering, Shipbuilding, Ship Design, Naval Architecture, etc.)., At least 8 -10 years of post-graduation experience in structural engineering in ship design., Experience with IACS Classification Society (DNV, ABS, BV, LR) rules and dedicated class-related software., Hands-on experience with at least one FEA tool (ANSYS, FEMAP, or Genie)., Good communication skills in English, both written and spoken., Permanent residence in Poland., Reliability - Takes a leadership role in balancing organizational, team, and individual commitments., Adaptability - Takes the lead in recognizing potential change and responding with solutions, tactics, or approaches to improve outcomes., Communication - Takes the lead in adapting communication to respond to audience or situational requirements., Critical Thinking - Leads in the interpretation of data through observation, investigations, communication, reports, legislation, and others in order to address needs., Mentorship and Knowledge Sharing - Demonstrates a focus on assisting and developing mentees with achieving their developmental goals., Teamwork - Takes the lead in driving teamwork culture by facilitating knowledge, resources, and feedback for a more effective working relationship.
