Senior Back-End (API) Engineer

About the companyWe are recruiting on behalf of a US-based technology company transforming how real estate professionals run their businesses. Its platform brings together CRM, marketing, communication and business workflows in one product used by real estate teams in the US.

This is a high-impact backend role for an engineer who enjoys working with large datasets, complex APIs and production systems at scale. You will have genuine ownership of features, from technical planning through to production, while working closely with a distributed US engineering team.

What you will be working onBuilding and evolving scalable backend services and AP

• IsWorking extensively with Node.js, JavaScript and Postgre
• SQL
• Writing pure SQL and working directly with the database rather than relying solely on an ORM
• Designing solutions for data-intensive production applications
• Making architectural decisions with a strong focus on performance, reliability and maintainability
• Taking ownership of features from idea and planning through to production
• Working with a distributed engineering team and clearly communicating technical decisions and trade-offsWhat we are looking forMust-haves
• Senior-level backend and API engineering experience
• Strong hands-on Node.js and JavaScript experience
• Strong PostgreSQL expertise, including pure SQL without an ORM
• Proven experience building scalable, data-intensive production applications
• Strong API design and development skills
• Solid experience with backend architecture, testing and maintainability
• Demonstrated end-to-end ownership of features
• Ability to explain technical decisions and trade-offs clearly
