One AI system we built evaluates deals for a private equity fund and agrees with the fund's partners in 97% of cases. We are hiring a senior AI Engineer to build the next one end-to-end: you talk to the people who will use it, write the code and own it in production.

Ten years

Sigmoidal started in 2016 as one of the first AI companies in Poland, before AI was fashionable and long before the OpenAI era. The first self-driving Tesla was still impressing the world. Today our AI systems run every day inside leading US private equity firms and fintechs, supporting the management of more than USD 200 billion in assets.

Forward deployed

Palantir calls the role 'forward deployed engineer'. In 2026 OpenAI and Anthropic launched companies built on it. Sigmoidal has deployed AI this way since 2016: one AI Engineer has a seat at the table with people who manage billions of dollars, then ships what was decided there.

Context: business teams at our partner firms build their own apps with AI tools like Claude or Cursor.

Problem: those apps are rarely production-ready.

Your role: turn them into secure, maintainable production tools.

The AI Engineer we are looking for

Senior engineer, usually 5+ years, with at least one shipped AI system people use in daily work.

Uses an AI coding agent every day.

Thinks like an investor: judges AI work by the business result.

Analytical, comfortable with financial data. Finance, private equity or consulting background is a big plus.

English for daily calls with the US. Communicative Polish: inside Sigmo we talk Polish.

Team and stack

Senior-only: people from McKinsey, Google, PwC, Capgemini, Kraken and JP

Morgan.

Remote-first (Poland / EU), optional office in Wrocław.

Stack: Claude, MCP, Python, FastAPI, AWS, Docker, SQL, REST API.
