About the ClientWe're an international fintech lender on a mission to make funding faster and simpler for small businesses, already operating in 11 countries. We're now launching in Kraków, and we're looking for people who want to build something new: the chance to help shape how we grow here from day one, with real ownership and room to develop as the team scales.

The role

The People & Culture Manager is our first dedicated People hire in Poland, acting as a true HR Business Partner for the local team. This role combines hands-on HR generalist work - onboarding, employee relations, day-to-day advisory - with the opportunity to build our local People function and processes from the ground up. You'll be the first point of contact for employees in Poland and a close partner to local leadership as the team scales.

What you'll doBe the first point of contact for all employees in Poland on HR matters.

Own onboarding for new joiners as the team scales, ensuring every new hire has a great start.

Advise managers and leadership on HR best practice, from performance conversations to team structure.

Ensure all local HR practices are fully compliant with Polish labour law.

Resolve internal people issues with fairness, discretion, and good judgement.

Support compensation, benefits, and HR administration for the local team.

Partner with the global People team to bring international standards to life locally, adapted for the Polish market.

Help build the foundational People processes and policies for our Polish operations.

What you bringSolid experience as an HR Business Partner or similar generalist HR role.

Strong working knowledge of Polish labour law (incl. social security and payroll-related regulations).

Comfortable being a company's first local People hire - happy to build processes from the ground up rather than inherit them.

Hands-on, collaborative, and genuinely excited about helping build an office and a culture from scratch.

Open to new ways of working, with a growth mindset.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with sound judgement in handling sensitive matters.

Bachelor's or Master's degree; HR, psychology, sociology or a related field is a plus.

Familiarity with HR systems (e.g. Workday, SAP Success

Factors) is a plus, but not required.

Fluency in Polish and English (required).
