Technical Support Center of Excellence in Gdańsk:

The Installation & Technical Support Center of Excellence (CoE) is a global competence hub dedicated to ensuring world-class installation quality, technical expertise, and continuous improvement across all markets. The CoE serves as the link between Product Management, R& D, Technical Support, and field installation teams, helping to transfer knowledge, solve complex technical challenges, and drive best practices throughout the organization.

The role:

The Lift Installer plays a critical role in delivering safe, high-quality, and efficient installations of lift solutions at customer sites. The position is responsible for the assembly, installation, alignment, testing, and commissioning of elevator systems and related components, ensuring that all installations meet company standards, technical specifications, and applicable safety regulations.

The role requires a strong understanding of mechanical construction and the installation of large rectangular structures made of aluminium, steel, and glass. A key aspect of the position is the accurate positioning and alignment of lift structures within elevator shafts, including the verification of shaft dimensions, verticality, reference points, clearances, and installation tolerances, as well as the ability to foresee installation challenges and solve technical issues on site.

The Lift Installer must be able to interpret technical drawings, work with precision measuring equipment, and ensure that all structural and functional requirements are met throughout the full travel height of the elevator.

Responsibilities:

• Install lifts and lift systems according to technical drawings, installation manuals, and company procedures.
• Assemble and align structural components made of aluminum, steel, and glass.
• Interpret technical drawings, dimensions, and installation specifications.
• Install mechanical, electrical, and electromechanical components.
• Perform basic wiring, connections, and functional checks in accordance with instructions.
• Use hand tools, power tools, measuring instruments, and lifting equipment safely and effectively.
• Conduct testing and commissioning activities to ensure proper operation and safety.
• Troubleshoot installation issues and collaborate with technical support when required.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Ensure compliance with company safety procedures and local regulations.
• Complete installation documentation and report any technical deviations or quality concerns.
• Travel to installation sites 3 out of 4 weeks in a month

Requirements:

Required Qualifications

• Technical education or vocational training in mechanical, electrical, construction, or a related field.
• Experience in installation, assembly, construction, manufacturing, or technical service is an advantage.
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings and installation instructions.
• Good mechanical aptitude and practical problem-solving skills.
• Basic understanding of electrical systems and tools.
• Ability to work safely at heights and handle physically demanding tasks.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to communicate effectively and work as part of a team.
• Ability to communicate in English, German is a plus.

Working Model

• Teams of 2 installers working together on assignments:
• The job position involves the employment of workers from the region**: Szczecin Region (North-Western Poland) – one team (2 people), Wroclaw Region (South-West Poland) – two teams (4 people).**
• Installers employed in the Szczecin Region will work primarily in northern Germany, while those from the Wroclaw Region will work in southern Germany and possibly Austria.
• International projects, primarily in Germany, Austria, and later, Switzerland.

• The guys will be equipped with a van with all needed installation equipment. They will be expected to drive to the locations by themselves – thus driving license and experience is a must. The travel time is included in the 3 weeks on assignment- they will have flexibility as to how to arrange their time to site and how fast and when to arrange the installations.
